AIM Midwest Tour 2004

With 50 hours on a bus and over 2,600 miles under their belts, the AIM class of 2004 recently returned with many blessings from the trip aptly named "the Paducah trip." This is a trip that has been an ongoing AIM tradition since 1998, and continues to bless lives every year. I know this, not only because I am currently an AIM student, but also because I have been a member at the Lone Oak Church of Christ (Paducah, KY) during all the previous years that AIM students have come. Those years were an experience that ultimately would play a big part in my own decision to come to AIM.
The trip began with a stop in Derby, KS at the home congregation of current AIM student Tyson Scarth. Like everywhere we go, we enjoyed the fellowship and hospitality of good brothers and sisters in Christ, and we were able to give a flag presentation during their Wednesday night services. After a staying the night in Derby, we moved on to the World Mission Workshop which was held at York College in York, NE. The AIM students were inspired to think about what they can do now, but also got ideas for the field, and possible future missions opportunities after AIM. We were able to set up an AIM booth, and of course we had fun recruiting and talking to like-minded people. After a night and full day at York, we set off at midnight on Friday for St. Louis, MO to do a bit of sight seeing.
