"I came to AIM as part of the class of 2001. Coming to Lubbock was one of the most outrageous things I had ever done. I was a homebody and really didn't expect to get too far away from home after high school, but I got tired of referring Bible questions to somebody else and realized that getting my own foundation in the faith needed to be a priority before I went on to live in the 'real world.'

"My time in Lubbock blew me away. I grew more spiritually than I thought was even possible, and that was only the beginning. In May of 2002, my two teammates and I moved to Mariupol, Ukraine. I spent the next 21 months living and working with a people I now call family and teammates whom I consider closer than brothers. After nearly two years of making a foreign country my home, I headed back to the states. Leaving was the hardest thing I have ever done in my life.

Now I attend Sunset International Bible Institute in Lubbock, while working as an assistant with AIM. Being an assistant has been such an awesome ministry, but it is quite a change from what I have been doing over the last several years. Instead of studying with lost people, I
