Web Update
Hello to everyone from the wonderful hub city of Lubbock! Some of you may be thinking "Hub city? What's that supposed to mean?" If you are anything like me, the first time I heard the west Texas terminology, I laughed. In my mind, Dallas is Texas' hub city, not Lubbock. However, the title remains as Lubbock is truly a place where paths cross and roads lead. Besides being called the hub city due to being surrounded by dozens of small towns (as Lubbock is), it is also a well-known fact that Lubbock is a great place for people of all cultures and backgrounds to come together. If you've ever been to Lubbock and visited the AIM program, you probably have seen this to be the case. Simply stated, Lubbock is where people from around the world can connect to one another and share similar adventures.
When the AIM website was launched several years ago, again a dream was born that the world could be united from a hub in Lubbock, Texas. With very humble origins, the AIM website grew into a place where this dream of "connection" was touched upon, while not being fully realized. In the next few weeks, months, and years, we will begin the process of taking the AIM website further in this direction as new technology is united with a new look, creating a fresh experience for those who visit the AIM website. There is much work to do, and meeting the full potential of the Internet is an incredible task. Still, we hope that you will come back and see a progress is made and as the AIM website further becomes a hub to the rest of the world.
