This year’s Camp Adventure weekend and week demonstrated once again that there are many youth throughout the United States who are eager to share the story of Jesus to the lost of the World. Camp Adventure 2008 was entitled “Be” and emphasized what it truly means to “get real with God.” Here, campers learned about the importance of holiness, the value of humility, and finally the need to be heard by the World for the sake of Christ. Just as with graduation this year, Camp Adventure 2008 hosted record-breaking numbers of teenagers and college aged adults. Events emphasized community service, mission experience, and Biblical study. Speakers throughout the event included Eli Hooper and Chris Swinford. Like in years past, there was plenty of ti

me for relaxation. Campers enjoyed basketball, skating, and took part in the annual talent show. Many campers returned for their second and even third times as Camp Adventure is quickly becoming a youth group tradition for many congregations. Of course, the success of Camp Adventure will not be fully known until next year as AIM students arrive for a new year of class.
